Cuggy is a species of animal from outer space. It was discovered by cflip during a play session of No Man's Sky, a game in which you traverse alien planets to discover randomly generated flora, fauna and minerals. It is a bipedal reptile-like creature with a tassle tail, grey spines and green scales. They are passive herbivores.

Beyond their origin in this game, they have since become a recurring and long-lasting inside joke. Cuggy is often referred to as an individual despite being a species, similarly to the Yoper.

Kevin War

In Kevin War, a cuggy shows up at various points before swiftly fading or vanishing. It serves seemingly no purpose other than being one of the various memes and inside jokes that appear in the video.

A video, simply named "Cuggy" was released on April 24th, 2025. It contains several cuggies scattered across various places. One in the beginning glitches out before cutting to a glitchy scene of a cuggy and a smiling dog. Then, a clip of Rodney's Tunnel gameplay is shown where the game freezes after a bastard jumps. Several "OH! shit" sounds play before the game shuts down. Then, a bastard hops at the screen to introduce itself. It then opens its mouth and transitions into a bitch, after which a transgender flag and congratulatory message appear. After some applause, the screen fades to black and then to a scene of three cuggies in a swamp. From here, the video is a response to various replies pointing out a cuggy in secret HOLY CRAP room found in New Super Mario Bros., narrated by the TikTok female voice. Many commenters refer to it as a "lizard man", which is not fucking true.

Other Appearances

In a video on Kjolt's YouTube channel showcasing the bouncy balls in Bathroom Blocks, a cuggy appears inside the glass chamber which the balls are thrown into. It emits the Super Mario 64 teleport sound as it briefly shows up and disappears. It is also the titular character of [REDACTED]. In the Saint Patrick's Day special Leprechauns are real, Cuggy appears for a few frames after the green heart locket gif and appears again at the very end of the video with the same teleport sound, seemingly standing inside a leprechaun trap. In secret HOLY CRAP room found in New Super Mario Bros., Cuggy appears for a few frames near 25 seconds on top of a mushroom platform. In Spodermen Interviews the Yoper, Spodermen mentions Cuggy, misspelling its name as "kuggy" and claiming to like it more than the Yoper.
