Tunnel Dwellers are a variety of character who exists within and was manifested by a tunnel, in the context of Tunnels from Nowhere. They are humanoid to varying degrees and serve as NPCs, providing insightful or flavourful dialogue. While many of them, even within their own tunnels, do not appear similar, they all follow the same basic principles that separate them from humans and hostile monsters. While they live peacefully and are intelligent enough to comprehend and express language, they are very one-track due to the diegetic limits of the tunnels. Their lives may revolve solely around one kind of motive, which they do not feel the need to question or diverge from. Their desires reflect the theme of their native tunnel.
