Critter

From Kjolt Wiki
Effigy of The Radiant Greasoid, example of a critter/greasoid.

Critters, also known as greasoids, are elusive deities of another world. They are often represented as statues on private Minecraft survival multiplayer servers by Kjolt, arbitrarily making up new religious figures that a nation on a server will hold in high regard. These effigies are made out of varying materials and it is unknown to which extent they truly resemble their respective greasoid, or if that greasoid exists in any capacity.

All critters have varying anatomy, but are all iterations of the same body shape. They have at least two legs and two arms, a neck connecting to a head with at least two eyes, and most notably, a hole through the middle of their torso. This hole can either be empty, or contain something that is luminous and/or golden. They are all derived from the first of their kind.

Gresus Goldtooth

Gresus Goldtooth is a god of war and the lord and saviour of Cranopolis on Fvonny's 4. His monument, located outside of the KJ Biggin, was comprised notably of amethyst, gold, and ever-burning netherrack inside his hollow chest. He appears as a somewhat humanoid warrior carrying a golden club, with two golden beady eyes. Originally, this depiction was of Jesus Christ until lord flufyking descended from above and changed the monument's label to "gresus goldtooth our lord and saviour".

The grease critter is modeled after him.

Melondia

Melondia is a goddess of Melondeau, Kjolt's homeland from Minecraft Attack. She possesses four legs, two arms, a torso with several holes and a horned skull with three eyes. Her monument is also comprised entirely of melon (save for one shroomlight in her center eye). Outside of her temple of worship, two signs describe her as "Great Melondia, goddess of Melondeau's splendor" reflecting Melondeau's integrity to L'Empire de la Citroye's agriculture.

The splendor critter is modeled after her.

Radiant Greasoid

The Radiant Greasoid appears atop a fountain from Slimlind of PrikPack v15, originally as the centerpiece in a small temple before it was demolished. It looks strikingly similar to Gresus Goldtooth, albeit smaller and made of sandstone, hence originating the term "greasoid".

Bigga Sprucehead

Bigga Sprucehead originates from PrikPack v16. It appears as a relatively simplistic and flat greasoid made from cobblestone, with buggy eyes formed by spruce logs. It wears shoulder pads and gloves made from spruce slabs as well as holding a single torch inside its torso. Its statue was built in Tianchao and its symbolism is unknown.

Melonfreund

Melonfreund is depicted in statue form at Kjahog Gruppel, Kjolt's settlement from Overlords 2. Similar to Melondia, this greasoid's statue is made from melons and features solid luminous blocks. It has 3 legs, is trimmed with warped planks and has a crown made from polished rock salt which glows at night due to a redstone lamp powered by a daylight sensor. It is unknown what symbolism Melonfreund serves, but their name is an amalgamation of "melon" and "freund" which translates to "friend" in German. This name implies that they are on good terms with Melondia and are similarly a benevolent deity.

A bathroom critter is made up of and crafted with 4 alternating raw bathroom and gold ingots surrounding a single block of glass in the crafting grid. It does not resemble any currently established greasoid, but is described as "Divine Latrinalia" in its respective advancement.

Splendor Critter

The splendor critter is made up of 4 alternating melons and gold ingots surrounding a single block of glowstone. It appears as a miniature version of Melondia's statue.

Grease Critter

The grease critter is crafted with 4 alternating amethyst blocks and gold ingots surrounding a single block of netherrack. It looks like a small version of Gresus Goldtooth.
