Krab Bass

The Krab Bass is a bass sound preset for Ableton Live originally created by cflip from a sample of Kjolt's voice. It was first made as part of cflip's song "Singing Kran", which was later remixed by Kjolt and the krab bass was extracted.

Sound

The sound itself has a bright and plucky timbre, and sounds more like a real bass guitar than a synthesizer. It consists of a single cycle waveform from a sample of Kjolt's voice, with a 24dB lowpass filter controlled by an envelope with a short decay that gives the sound its plucky character.
