Wiremen are a species of sentient gardening wires in Tunnels from Nowhere as residents of the Iron Garden. They are thin metal beings using planter pots and shrubs as clothing, whose faces are made up of a long, twisted wire depicting abstract facial features. They are passive NPCs who are entirely pacifistic, but hold slight resentment for the snorms that have infested their home.

The wiremen are born protectors of their garden, tending to the plentiful greenery and maintaining its neatness as their sole occupation. They seem to lack awareness of the story's greater conflict due to their instinctual priorities.
